Weiss Helps Students Go Back to School with Backpacks from FESCO

Nearly 200 East Bay grammar school, high school, and college students returned to class well-stocked thanks to the Family Emergency Shelter Coalition (FESCO) and Weiss Associates staff.

On Saturday, August 27, Mike Dresen, Joyce Adams, Tim Utterback, Trish Eliasson, Tom Fojut, Nadya Yagjian, Shari Blackwell, Cheyenne Waldman, and Rachana Nagar of Weiss, along with family and friends, assisted with FESCO’s annual backpack distribution in Hayward. The Weiss representatives helped set up the event, distribute fully stocked backpacks to students from second grade through college, and clean up afterward.

FESCO is among seven local charitable organizations that received donations from Weiss in December 2010.
 
The firm’s participation was organized by Weiss CEO Mike Dresen and Weiss Community Events Coordinator Joyce Adams, a senior project geologist with 21 years of experience at the firm. Joyce is planning three more Weiss-supported community events for the remainder of 2011.
