
John Valett
Project Geologist II
Mr. Valett is a registered Professional Geologist and Certified Hydrogeologist with 19 years of experience, including management of soil and ground water investigations. He has performed numerous hydrogeologic investigations at military installations throughout California and Nevada. Mr. Valett has conducted underground storage tank removals and investigations, and environmental assessments at industrial and commercial sites throughout California and Nevada. He has extensive experience in interpreting geologic data, preparing hydrogeologic maps and cross-sections, and report writing. He has written Remedial Design reports, Site-Wide Remediation Evaluation Summary reports, Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study (RI/FS) reports, Five-Year Review reports, and compliance monitoring reports. Mr. Valett performs innovative data analyses including ground water elevation history analysis, fracture analysis, capture zone evaluations, and plume history analysis. He uses Earthvision and web-based computer tools to construct cross-sections, lithologic/well construction diagrams, and ground water elevation and contaminant plume maps. He has strong drilling and hydrogeologic management skills.
